Saifee expedition, October 1999

Danger, falling ice

Moving on towards the summit camp, we came across an ice fall we had to climb over to reach the mountain where we
were supposed to camp. The ice fall was part of a glacier and was full of crevasses. It's very dangerous to keep standing
in one place in such regions, and very important to use one's ice axe to get extra support. This was one climb that,
though it looked easy to me, was supposedly dangerous and Rana bhai and Ketan Rajput spent quite some time trying to
find a safe path to follow.
