Saifee expedition, October 1999

Tent peggin'

Bhojbasa also introduced us to "Chonga", the Chuff local to these parts of Himalayas. Over the years these birds have
become more and more used to hikers, trekkers and climbers. They realise the tremendous potential of sticking to an
expedition group and eating the leftovers. These birds are extremely skilled fliers. Chongas accompanied us wherever we
went, and I was surprised to find a few of them even at the summit camp.
